Yashwant Sinha calls PM Modi “serial hugger”

New Delhi, July 21: Known for unleashing salvos against the Narendra Modi government, Former BJP leader and Union minister  Yashwant Sinha has made a satirical remark on the surprise gesture of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi when he went to hug Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha after his speech during the no-confidence debate, by calling “PM a serial hugger.”

 

Taking a dig at PM Modi ,Yashwant Sinha tweeted, “The serial hugger has been taken for a hug.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is famous for giving bear-hugs to foreign dignitaries including dictators and businessmen.Everytime when Modi is on a foreign tour, there is always a talk of his “hugs”.

Rahul Gandhi looked directly at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then walkedacross to embrace him, PM Modi froze in his seat.

Yashwant, a critic of Modi’s government at the Centre, had on April 20 ended his long-time ties with the BJP, saying that “democracy is in danger” and that he would launch a movement for “the restoration of democracy as it is vital for the country, its people and their freedom”.
