World Economic Forum: PM Modi embarks on Davos visit

New Delhi, Jan 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday left for Davos, Switzerland to take participate in World Economic Forum. 

The annual conference will be attended by major names from across the world including US President Donald Trump, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, German Chancellor Angela Merkel,UK Prime Minister Theresa May and other dignitaries.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Modi said in a tweet  ” I look forward to my first visit to the World Economic Forum at Davos, at the invitation of India’s good friend and Founder of the WEF, Prof Klaus Schwab. The theme of the Forum, “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” is both thoughtful and apt”.
