In the aftermath of Bawana factory fire, BJP leader & North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Preeti Aggarwal caught on camera telling her aide, we have the licensing of this factory so we can not say anything (‘iss factory ki licensing hamare paas hai isliye hum kuch nahi bol sakte.’) news agency ANI reported.

However, she later said that she has been misinterpreted and was only making some inquiry about the place from her co-workers. “I meant we shouldn’t say anything about such unfortunate incident at this time,” she added.

Demanding an apology from Chief minister Kejriwal who retweeted the video she said, “This industrial area is under DSIDC & land allotment has been done by Delhi government. They should at least see what work is being done there.”

17 people have been killed in this unfortunate incident. The fire ripped through a two-storeyed factory in outer Delhi’s Bawana industrial area yesterday. Delhi Police registered a case under 304, 285 & explosives act & arrested the person who took this place on rent on January 1 & was doing this work illegally, Delhi Police PRO Dependra Pathak reported.
