Woman gangraped, burnt alive inside temple premises in UP’s Sambhal, 2 arrested

Lucknow, July 16 : The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday arrested two people for allegedly gang-raping a woman and burning her alive inside a temple premises in a village in Rajpura area of Sambhal district.

Superintendent of Police, RM Bhardwaj said, “We have arrested 2 men out of the 5 accused,further probe is underway,” ANI reported. Three other accused are absconding, the police said.

The Beti Bachao, Beti Padao of Modi government and Ram Rajya of Yogi Adityanath government have been exposed when a brutal crime of this nature came to light .

The incident took place late on July 13 when the 35-year-old victim was alone in her house with her daughter and the five persons barged into her house and allegedly raped her. police said.

According to the reports, her husband said  the victim had sent a message to her cousin about the horrific incident.Before she could inform the police, the men again came to house  and dragged her to a temple  and set her ablaze. She called UP police’s Dial-100 emergency service but no one answered the call.

Superintendent of Police, RM Bhardwaj said rape could not be ascertained in the post-mortem of the victim.

The audio clip of the last call the 35-year-old sent is being used as evidence in the case.

An FIR has been lodged in Rajpura police station  against five persons identified as Aram Singh, Mahaveer Charan Singh, Gullu and Kumarpal , where the brutal crime took place.
