A woman hacked to death and five others were wounded in a knife attack in London’s Russell Square, UK media reported early Thursday morning.
According to the Press Association (PA), a man was arrested minutes after the attack which took place at Russell Square after being shot with a stun gun by police, media reported.
Media also reported that police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 22.30 GMT on Wednesday due to a man in possession of a knife after several people had sustained injuries.
Six injured people were found at the square and a woman was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive, according to Metropolitan Police Service quoted by media.
