New Delhi, Oct 9 : Congress leader Kapil Sibal slammed  Vijay Rupani government for the widespread hate attacks on migrant workers from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh  and Madhya Pradesh and their exodus from the coastal state, and remarked that Disturbing winds of intolerance are prevailing in Gujarat while advising BJP  that “United we must stand. Divided we will fall”.

Kapil Sibal on Tuesday took to Twitter to condemn the attacks on the migrants in Gujarat and said“Disturbing winds of intolerance in Gujarat. The guilty should be punished and innocent migrants workers from Bihar, UP and MP who come to earn their livelihood must be protected. United we must stand. Divided we will fall.”

The rape of a 14-month girl, allegedly by a man hailing from Bihar, triggered a spate of violent protests and mob attacks with locals  targeting non-Gujaratis, mainly migrants from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.

The attacks intensified following the circulation of hate messages on social media. Police have arrested 342 people from various parts of Gujarat for allegedly attacking non-Gujaratis.
