New Delhi, Dec 15: A day after the Supreme Court order on the Rafale deal, Public Accounts Committee chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said that he would request other members of the PAC to summon the Attorney General and the CAG to ask them when was the public auditor’s report presented in Parliament.
Kharge stated he respect the apex court but only a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) can investigate the Rafale deal.
“The government lied in SC that the CAG report was presented in the house and in the PAC and PAC has probed it”, he told media.

The Congress leader further asserted, “the Centre said in the top court that it is in public domain. Where is it? Have you seen it?”.
“I am going to take this up with other members of PAC. We will summon AG and CAG”, he added.
The Supreme Court Yesterday dismissed all the petitions seeking court-monitored probe into the purchase of 36 Rafale jet fighters holding that the decision making process was not in doubt.
The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranajan Gogoi said it cannot go into the question of pricing and choice of offset Indian partner by the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault.
