When will you reduce the tax on Petrol-Diesel: Surjewala to PM Modi

New Delhi, Sep 3: On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to show kindness over common people as they are burdened under Petrol-Diesel price rise. 

“Dear Modiji, Please show some kindness on a festival day. Common people are burdened under Price Rise, as Petrol-Diesel prices hiked for the 10th consecutive day!, Surjewala tweeted.

“Your Jumlas are not taxed, but when will you reduce the tax on Petrol-Diesel? In Expectation, -Distressed People”, he added.

In Delhi, petrol is being sold Rs.0.31 higher at Rs 79.15 per litre, while diesel prices saw a hike by Rs.0.39 to a price of Rs 71.15 per litre on Monday.

Petrol price has crossed the Rs 86 mark in Mumbai and was being sold at Rs 86.56 per litre (increased by Rs 0.31 per litre) while diesel reached to a new high of Rs 75.54 per litre (increase by Rs 0.44 per litre).
