Kodad, Dec 5: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday hit out at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying when farmers protested for fair MSPs, the state government jailed them.
The Congress leader, who was in the poll-bound state also lashed out at Telangana CM over the promises he made in the past, which still stands unfulfilled.
Lakhs of youth in Telangana are unemployed. Families were promised double bedroom housing, but these promises were not fulfilled by KCR government”, Gandhi told a public gathering in Kodad.
“Water, funds and employment were the main goals during the formation of Telangana state. Farmers, women and youth sacrificed their lives to create this state”.
Continuing his attack, the Congress President said CM KCR’s son’s income increased by 400 per cent, while Rs 17,000 Crore surplus Telangana state today has a debt of Rs 2 lakh crore.
Telangana will go to polls on December 7 and The countings of votes will take place on December 11.
