Former Law Minister and senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal while talking about the alleged allegations of Conflicts of Interest on National Security Advisor’s son Shaurya Doval and its other directors who are also minister in the governmnet said, No minister has ever been a director of NGO in the history of India.
Sibal also asked, How Ram Madhav who is General Secretary of BJP can become director of a company?
Meanwhile taking a dig at both Jay Shah and Shaurya Doval the leader said,What is happening these days is “Jai Ki Shaurya” and “Shaurya ki Jai”.Congress leader also claimed that 4 Modi Ministers (Aviation, Defence, Commerce & External Affairs) are directors of NGO sponsored by pvt sector. Giving reference of article 3 of Foreign Exchange Management Act Kapil Sibal said that no political party and government officials could acquire Doantion from foreign countries.
Revising Congress Presidnet Sonia’s casethe leader said, “When Soniaji was the director of National Advisory, BJP had created ruckus which had finally led to Soniaji’s resignation. Why is Modiji silent now? His ministers are directors of NGO. Never in history of any Govt a min held director’s post in an organisation, he added.
As per the Congress Party claims, Gemini Enterprises lists Shaurya as stakeholder & Saudi Prince as Chairman, which is a compromise with External Affairs.
India Foundation which is considered as the most effective think tanks of the country provides a stage for ministers, administrative officers and Indian industrialists to discuss government schemes.
But according to a report published in The Wire states that the ambigous financial structure of the India foundation includes minister as its directors and the fact that the executive director of India foundation and the son of National security advisor Ajit Doval, Shaurya Doval’s announced work is to run Gemini Financial services that specialises in “transactions and capital flows between the OECD and the emerging Asian economies” all these facts are creating a situation of conflict of interest.
