Watch: Toilet Ek Prem Katha’s new song Bakheda, shows love knows no boundaries

New Delhi, July 5: Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a movie that has a social message attached to it and is inspired by PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Campaign.

After the release of Hans Mat Pagli, the makers of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha have now released the second song from the film.

Akshay Kumar took to his official Twitter handle to share the next song from his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-starring Bhumi Pednekar. The song titled “Bakheda”, is the tale of Keshav (Akshay) and Jaya’s (Bhumi) love story.

Akshay, who shared the song, captioned it, “Jag mein na _____ se bada #Bakheda? Watch now to find out 🙂 #Bakheda song out now. –>” The missing word here is “Ishq” and looks like the actor finds love a sweet disturbance.

The song titled Bakheda depicts the romantic tale of Akshay Kumar aka Keshav and Bhumi Pednakar aka Jaya. It shows how their relationship has grown and ultimately into a blossomed love. The chemistry between Akshay and Bhumi in the song is simple and relatable. They are in love and do things that couple do today. From trying to meet each other away from public eye to mooning over each other sitting by the window or staring at the stars – the song is a beautiful number.

The story is of Keshav and Jaya who fall in love and get married. However, Keshav’s village does not have a single toilet, which creates a massive rift in their married life. So ultimately it becomes a story of Keshav fighting his village’s superstitions and government’s corruption to ensure proper sanitation for all. Overall, it is a promising love story with a strong social message.

The film addresses various issues like gender discrimination, sanitation issues, irrational traditional beliefs – all of it done with a dash of entertainment.

The song is sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan with a rustic charm reminding one of their previous collaborations like Beedi from Omkar and many more.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will hit the big screens on August 11.
