New Delhi, May 23: After two days of relief from the hot sunny morning, the city witnessed an increase in the mercury level on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 23.3 degrees Celsius, the Met department said.
The sky is forecast to remain cloudy in the day and the maximum temperature is expected to reach near 34 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
There is a possibility of thunder and lightening as well, the official added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 46 per cent.
Monday’s maximum temperature settled at 29.4 degrees Celsius, 11 notches below the season’s average, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average.
