‘Vishwaroopam 2’ Trailer Out: Kamal Haasan is back with Action-Packed Performance

Chennai, June 11: After a long gap of 5 years, Veteran actor Kamal Haasan is back as a RAW agent in Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to the 2013 film “Vishwaroopam”, which will hit the screens on August 10.

Kamal, who is now active in the political arena, is also acting as the protagonist of the film.

While the first installment was set in the United States, the sequel takes place in India. The film tells the story of the battle between Wisam and Omar Qureshi (Rahul Bose), an Al-Qaeda terrorist.

The trailer takes off from snippets of the first part where Indian intelligence along with the FBI successfully diffuse a ‘dirty bomb’ planted by Omar and team. What follows next is how Kamal manages to escape from Omar’s camp, shots of which were shown in the end of the first part.

The trailer is jam-packed with tense action sequences and jaw-dropping stunts. Blink and you’ll miss the three-second shot of Kamal as a Kathak dancer. We also see shots of Kamal being brought to a military base in critical condition and the doctors trying to revive him. “Don’t die on me man,” says one of the person, as we see a bloodied Kamal on a stretcher.

Thus, this film takes forward the story of the previous film in this series, where Omar escapes from Wasim’s clutches. From gripping action sequences, mind-boggling visuals and even an underwater fight between Haasan and Bose, the film is bound to give viewers an adrenaline rush.

What adds to the intense scenes in the trailer is the background score by Mohammed Ghibran, who has collaborated with Haasan for the fourth time.

The trailer of the film was also launched on Monday. Aamir Khan digitally launched the Hindi trailer.

While Shruti Haasan did it for the Tamil Version and NTR Jr for the Telugu dubbed version.

Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam 2 is a Tamil-Hindi bilingual featuring Shekar Kapur, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and others.

The Hindi version of this bilingual will be presented by Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment. The Tamil version and the Telugu dubbed version is produced by Raajkamal Films International for Aascar Films Pvt Ltd.

“We have appointed Rahman as the state government’s brand ambassador for a year,” Sikkim Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industries Ugen T Gyatso, told IANS over phone.
