Guwahati, Oct 26: Several areas of Kaziranga would be out of bounds for tourists for a day as Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari is slated to visit Assam’s Kaziranga National Park on Thursday.
“Elephant ride and jeep safari will be unavailable for tourists in the central range of the park on Thursday to facilitate the VVIP visit,” said a senior park official.However, he informed that the elephant rides in Bagori range will be offered as usual.

Ansari will reach Assam on Wednesday and go directly to the Tezpur University, located at Tezpur in northern Assam’s Sonitpur district, to inaugurate the 19th National Convention on Knowledge, Library and Information Networking.
On Thursday, the Vice President will visit the national park famous for one-horned rhino population and will depart for New Delhi the same evening.
