Varanasi, Sep 17: Vedpathis conducted special ‘hawan’ and offered prayers on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
As wishes poured in his 68th birth anniversary, Modi today began a two-day trip to his parliamentary constituency.
The Prime Minister will pay respects to Lord Shiva at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
Following this, he is scheduled to interact with children of a primary school, aided by non-profit organisation “Room to Read”.
Later, he will hold talks with students of Kashi Vidyapeeth and children assisted by them on the premises of Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW).
During the visit, PM Modi is also likely to launch some developmental projects, including the four-laning of the Babatpur-Shivpur road, Ring Road phase I and some projects at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
Meanwhile, the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party kickstarted a week-long programme, under which welfare initiatives will be undertaken by party leaders.
