New Delhi, 21 Oct: Vadodara is all ready to open the doors of India’s second eco-friendly airport for the travelers soon.
The new integrated terminal building is equipped with international standard facilities.
Project head Narendra Shukla said the building has several features of a green building.
“Sugarcane pulps are used for decoration at VIP and CIP lounge. Many features of a green building incorporated in the building,” he said.
He also informed that the building’s roof top has energy efficient glass.
“Energy efficient glass has been used. A sheet measuring 164.4 metres is used on roof top, which is a world record,” said Shukla.
Construction work of the terminal was embarked in May 2011 and is likely to be completed by end of 2016. It will have 18 check in counters and has the ability to handle 700 passengers per hour.
