Dehradun, July 11: Continous heavy rainfall lashed Uttarakhand on Wednesday as bridges washed away in some places, the Chamba to Rishikesh National Highway blocked due to a landslide.
According to Zee news, Seven people have been reported killed in rain-related incidents in the state capital of Dehradun.
Of the seven poeple who have been killed, four died when a building collapsed in Dehradun’s Seema Dwar. Three others were washed away in Dalanwala, Sahaspur and Balliwala.
As a precautionary measure all Government schools and Anganwadi centres in Dehradun following a thunderstorm and heavy rain alert.
The Chamba-Rishikesh National Highway-94blocked after landslides near Fakot and Bhinnu. Clearing operations underway.
Due to heavy rainfall, the Suspension bridge at Pithoragarh’s Nachani has been washed away.
