Dehradun, July 19: At least fourteen people were killed after a bus they were travelling in, fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Thursday.
“14 died and 18 injured out of whom 6 are critical and admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh. All the injured have been rescued. Operations to recover bodies are underway”, Sanjay Gunjyal, IG (SDRF) told media.

Local police, administration and SDRF teams are present at the spot and rescue operation is underway.
here were 25 people onboard the bus when the accident took place.
The Uttarakhand government has announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh each to families of the deceased. The injured will also be given Rs 50,000 as compensation.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the accident.
