New Delhi, March 6: There has been a huge pressure on MEA to ensure safety of Indian community based in America, following a series of attack on Indian origin men in US within last 10 days.

Amid alarming security concerns for the Indian Diaspora in America, the USA have assured India of “speedy justice” to the Indian-American victims of possibly hate-related crimes today. Indian ambassador US Navtej Sarna reached out to the State Department to convey his “deep concerns” over such tragic incidents involving Harnish Patel and Deep Rai.

“State Department, on behalf of US Govt, expressed condolences and assured they are working with all agencies concerned to ensure speedy justice,” updated the Indian Embassy in the US in a series of tweets.

Sarna pointed out an “underlined” need to prevent such incidents and protect the Indian community living here.

Indian Embassy officials assured the community that they are in constant communication with local police officials in both the cases.
