UP polls: Rahul, Akhilesh to hold joint roadshow in Agra today


New Delhi, Feb 3, 2017: Ahead of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi party president Akhilesh Yadav are all set to hold a joint road show in Agra today.

It will be the second roadshow of the two leaders in the state, which goes to poll for it’s 403 assembly seats. On January 29, Akhilesh and Rahul held a joint road show in Lucknow following a joint press conference.

The Congress and the ruling Samajwadi entered into an alliance to contest the poll in Uttar Pradesh.

Out of the 403 Assembly seats, the Congress will be contesting in 105 seats and the SP will field its candidates in rest of the 298 seats.

The second road show is being held almost a week before the first-phase election on February 11.
