UP Minister threatens to quit demanding officer transfer

Lucknow, July 3 : Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, an ally of state’s ruling party has threatened to stage a sit-in protest and quit if a senior official in his home district is not immediately removed.

As per the reports , since more than a month there is a tussle between Rajbhar  and the  District Magistrate of Ghazipur Sanjay Kumar Khatri.

Rajbhar is the national President of BJP’s ally Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and the state Backward Welfare Minister told news agency IANS that the official was not lending ears to the matters, issues and problems raised by him on behalf of the people.

His party has clinched four seats in recent state assembly elections. “I have to answer to people, there are many matters concerning the people which are not being heeded to,” he added.

Not only this, Rajbhar also met Chief Minister Adityanath on June 27 to make him aware about the issue.

He was asked to wait for another meeting with UP Chief Minister by Sunil Bansal, organisational secretary of the state BJP.

In response to this, Rajbhar said that he would wait till Monday evening to hear from the Chief Minister’s Office and if the Ghazipur District Magistrate was not transferred, he would relinquish all government facilities.

Rajbhar would head to Ghazipur by train and protest a sit in there on Tuesday.
