UP govt decides to name Dasna jail dental clinic in Aarushi’s memory

Aarushi Murder case

New Delhi, Oct 19: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to name the Dasna jail dental clinic in the name of Aarushi, the daughter of Talwars who was found dead in her bedroom in 2008.

This comes days after, the Doctor Couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were released from the jail followed by their acquittal in double murder case.

“Sarkar unki ichcha ka samman karti hai, aur isme koi harj bhi nahi hai (The state government respects their feelings, and the re is also no harm in it). We are serious on the issue of renaming the clinic as the Talwars had immensely contributed in the treatment of the prisoners during their imprisonment”, TOI quoted, UP minister of state for jail Jai Kumar Singh Jaiki was saying.

“Either the jail department seniors officials or I will meet the Talwars within 15 days to expedite the formalities. Our aim is to ensure that the patients at the jail continue to get their services. The couple will be requested to attend the clinic at least twice a week,” he had added.

The minister also acknowledged the Talwars for running the dental clinic for four years.

The Allahabad high court in its verdict gave the benefit of doubt to Aarushi’s parents, by saying they did’t killed their daughter.
