UP government to build a grand statue of Lord Rama at Saryu bank!

The Uttar Pradesh government headed by Yogi Adityanath has made a proposal to build a grand Lord Rama statue on the bank of Saryu river in Ayodhya.

According to an Indian Express report the statue is a part of the plan called ‘Navya Ayodhya’ which focuses to promote religious tourism in the state. The proposal of the plan has already been sent to the

Governor(Ram Naik) of the state. A report published in Indian express suggests that the estimated height of the statue will be around 100 meter.

The communique stated that the statue will be build at Saryughat after clearance from the National Green Tribunal. Initial estimates are statue will be 100m tall.

A press statement released by Raj Bhawan says the statue will be built only after the proposal get a clearance from the NGT (National Green Tribunal).

Howerver the Yogi Adityanath goverment is all set for a grand Diwali celebration.

Governor Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Tourism Minister K J Alphons and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma will be present on the occasion Of 18th October.
