UP Board results out, girls outshines boys

Lucknow, June 9 : The Uttar Pradesh Board exam results were declared on Friday in which 81.18 per cent students successfully passed in Class 10, while a pass percentage for Class 12 is a 82.62 per cent.

The percentage has dipped by  five per cent tentatively as compared to the previous year.

The board’s chairman Amarnath Verma and secretary Shail Yadav announced the results.

Tejaswi Devi of Fatehpur’s Jai Maa SGMIC school is Class 10 topper with 95.83 per cent marks.

Lucknow Public School’s Kshitij Singh and Navneet Kumar attained second position in Class 10 exams.

With 96.20 per cent, Priyanshi Tiwari, has topped the Class 12 exams, while  Bhawna with 95.81 per cent secured second rank and the third position has been claimed by Sonam Singh with 95.80 per cent marks.

The Uttar Pradesh Board’s Class 10 exams were held between March 16 and April 1 and Class 12 exams from March 16 to April 21.

Though, 10.34 lakh students had registered  for Class 10 exams and 26.56 lakh for Class 12 exams and strangely 10.3 lakh students left the exams midway due to whatsoever reasons in Class 10 and 2.4 lakh students dropped out in Class 12.
