Unnao Rape Case: Allahabad HC to pronounce order on Friday


Lucknow, April 12: The Allahabad High Court will pronounce its verdict at 2 pm on Friday over Unnao rape case involving BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Senger. 

Earlier, on Thursday the court asked Yogi Aditynath led Uttar Pradesh government counsel, “Why BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Senger has been not arrested yet in Unnao rape case.

Responding to this, Advocate general Raghvendra Singh told the High Court that their is no evidence against Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the alleged rape case. The government told the court that action was taken according to the law, the Firstpost reported.

Prior to this, addressing media, UP DGP OP Singh had said Now the case has been given to CBI, they will decide on the arrest of the BJP MLA.

The Uttar Pradesh police registered an FIR against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Senger in connection with the alleged rape case.

The Yogi Adityanath-led government has also decided to hand over the alleged rape case of a 17-year-old girl and the subsequent death of her father in judicial to the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) after the Special Investigation Team submitted its report on Wednesday evening.

Reacting to FIR, the victim told news agency ANI ” Still so many questions are being raised on me, even after my father’s murder. How will I get justice? CBI probe is fine but first MLA should be arrested as he will influence probe, I now fear for my uncle’s(father’s brother) life.
