As Bollywood’s upcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’ is facing many hurdles, now it stucks into a fresh controversy. The chief of Central Board of Film Certification Pahlaj Nihalani reportedly claimed that he has heard co-producer of movie Anurag Kashyap took money from Aam Aadmi Party.
In an interview with TV channel, Nihalani stated that he has heard AAP paid Kashyap to portray Punjab in bad light.
After the CBFC chief statement came, in a defensive mode Kashyap said: “It is not worth a reaction. This is defense of the guilty.”
Meanwhile, AAP in its emergency press briefing said that Nihalani is acting like a BJP tool. Also, the party has refuted all the charges made by CBFC chief regarding Anurag being backed by AAP.
Thereafter Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal took the micro blogging site and tweeted:
Pahlaj Nihlani's statement makes it amply clear that he has stopped the film on BJP's instructions
