Mumbai, July 26: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today said party supremo Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya and Varanasi on July 27.
“Uddhav ji said he’ll visit Ayodhya, address rally and later visit Varanasi, he’ll participate in Ganga Aarti and offer prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It’s a small event. There’s nothing more to it”, Raut told media.
His comment was in response to the posters put up by party leader Milind Narvekar in Mumbai.
Earlier in the third and final part of the interview published in the Shiv Sena mouthpieces ‘Saamana’ and ‘Dophar ka Saamana’,
Thackeray vowed to to visit Ayodhya and Varanasi.
“I will visit Ayodhya and have darshan of Ram Lalla…I want to participate in Ganga aarti in Varanasi,” Thackeray said.
The Sena Chief’s visit to Uttar Pradesh is to be significant as Varanasi is the constituency represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ally is in the power.
In one of the interviews which is the part of Uddhav’s 58th birthday celebrations, on July 27, Thackeray pointed out how, though Prime Minister Narendra Modi often speaks on the emergency and other global topics, he never discusses the Ram Temple issue, despite the saffron party coming in power in the 2014 elections.
“Lord Ram’s exile is not yet over. The BJP said that work on the Ram Temple will start soon, but nobody really knows whena This means the ‘Ram Temple card’ will be played again during elections,” he added.
