Andhra Pradesh: A massive fire has broken out in Sri Kanya Cinema Hall in Visakhapatnam’s Gajuwaka and five fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames. As per initial investigation,a short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire in the Kanya and Sree Kanya theatres located in the same building at Gajuwaka area.
The fire engulfed the Kanya and Sree Kanya theatres located in the same building at Gajuwaka area.No casualties have been reported as of now.
According to the police, a sweeper noticed smoke coming out of the building and alerted the staff but by the time fire engines rushed to the spot, both the theatres were completely gutted.
Fire fighting personnel with eight fire engines battled to douse the blaze. The loss is estimated to be Rs 3 crore.
A massive fire gutted two footwear manufacturing units in outer Delhi’s Udyog Nagar on Sunday. The occupants of the two buildings had escaped in the nick of time and there were no casualties, said police.
On Sunday, a blaze had broken out in Kolkata’s congested Bagree Market. More than 60 firefighters battled for over 20 hours to control the fire.
