Lucknow, Aug 3: In a separate incident, two buildings collapsed in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh following heavy rainfall on Friday.
Two people were injured in Ganeshganj building collapse. While another incident was reported from Aminabad area.
The police and fire department are present at the spot and the rescue operation is underway.
The structure of buildings was residential and had several families residing.
This comes a day after, a three-storey building collapsed in Kerala’s Palakkad district leaving many feared trapped under the debris.
Since last month, several incidents of the building collapse have been surfaced across the country.
Earlier this week, two buildings were collapsed within Kanpur.
On July 23, two people lost their lives after an under-construction five-storey building collapsed in Ghaziabad’s Masuri area.
Two people lost their lives after the roof of a house collapsed in Harsh Vihar near Dwarka at on July 22.
Prior to this, on July 19, a six-floor building under construction crashed on a five-storey building next to it, bringing it down as well, in Shahberi village. Nine people, including an 18-month-old toddler, were killed in the incident.
