Chennai, May 24: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam working President MK Stalin, who was agitating outside Tamil Nadu secretariat over Sterlite Protests in Thoothukudi, has been detained by the police.
As per the reports, detention took place after Stalin was lifted by police officers and evicted from outside Tamil Nadu chief minister’s office.
DMK has already called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh on May 25, however, the leaders sat on a protest after they failed to get an appointment to meet the CM.

Earlier, slamming the police action due to which thirteen people lost their lives during the violence, Stalin had sought the resignation of Chief Minister K Palaniswami and state police chief T K Rajendran.
