To save BSP’s ‘national party’ status, Mayawati to hold more rallies outside UP in next 6 months

Lucknow, Oct 7, 2017: As the BSP’s status of National party is under threat moreover party supremo Mayawati currently not holding any power after she resigned from the post of Rajya Sabha. The party is planning to overcome from the situation by leaving no stone unturned to project their party and its chief.

As many as nine rallies outside Uttar Pradesh are schedule in the next few months, which Mayawati is going to lead. It will also be an attempt to project herself as a prominent opposition face against the ruling BJP.

From November 24 to March 4, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo is expected to lead rallies in Bhopal, Bangalore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Patna, Delhi, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Compared to this, Mayawati will likely lead six rallies in UP by May next year.

However, she has already kicks-off her campaign with a rally in Meerut on Sep 18.

A party leader, anonymously, said the rallies are aimed at raising the morale of party supporters and also “rise in opposition to the BJP, which seems to be thinking there is no opposition to it”.

Rajya Sabha MP Veer Singh, however, said the BSP’s campaign is focused on increasing its base in the states outside UP and claimed that the party is getting good response.
