New Delhi: After CM Kejriwal there is another man who says he could be killed for raising his voice against PM Narendra Modi.
Ashish Sharma is the man who filed a complaint against PM Narendra Modi for allegedly “disrespecting” and “insulting” the national flag 20 times on Internationa Yoga Day last year. Yesterday, he apprehended at Delhi Court that he could be killed because of the case.
The complainant alleged before Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Sarvaria that on August 12, he was arrested and tortured by the Delhi Police “without any crime” and released after 4 days.
“I may be murdered, attacked or vanish from this world. Nevertheless, I am requesting the court to keep in records that how and how much I am being tortured because of this case,” he said.
The court has now fixed the matter for November 30.
Earlier in April, Ashish Sharma had claimed in his complaint that Modi insulted the national flag more than 20 times on the International Yoga Day last year.
“On that day (international yoga day) PM was wearing the tricolour which is the national flag of India. The PM cleaned his face and sweat of his body all over and clean his nose as well, he wiped his face with the national flag in front of the world. All the media worldwide as well as Indian Media took photos of PM insulting our national flag,” Sharma said.
Another complainant who was a resident of Pokhraira village had filed a case in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in Muzaffarpur district of Patna in June, following Ashish’s complaint in April.
“Modi’s acts were an insult to the national flag and it hurt millions in the country,” he said.
