Srinagar, June 16: Thousands of mourners joined the last rites of Army jawan Aurangzeb on Saturday who was abducted and killed by terrorists.
Speaking to Media, father of Rifleman Mohd Hanif said “My son has abided by his pledge, he kept his promise. He sacrificed himself for the nation & came back to me. I request the central and state governments to eliminate militancy.”

Yesterday mortal remains of Aurangzeb was brought to Srinagar camp for the wreath-laying ceremony.
He belonged to 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and was posted at the 44 Rashtriya Rifles camp at Shadimarg in Shopian.
The Jawan’s bullet-ridden body was recovered from Pulwana’s Gussu village on Thursday evening hours after he was kidnapped at gunpoint while he was on way back home on Eid leave.
According to the police, he was shot in his head and neck.
