This day in History: Neil Armstrong Landed on Moon on this day

Today is the day when human first landed on the moon . Neil Armstrong an American NASA Astronaut, on this day in 1969,stepped down from Apollo 11’s lunar module and “buzz” Aldrin and Michael from the spacecraft.

The spacecraft took off on July 16, it traveled around 384,400 km in 76 hours to reach the lunar surface. President John F.Kennedy gave a speech to congress and asked for space exploration program that would land a man on the moon in 1961.


He quoted “We choose to go to the moon.we choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things,not because they are easy,but because they are hard”.

The dream came true when Armstrong with Aldrin and Collin successfully completed the mission on this day.
