About ten Lashkar -e- Toiba terrorists have infiltrated into Gujarat through sea border with Pakistan to carry out attacks during shivratri festival.. The state is on high alert after the information was given by Pakistan NSA Nasir Khan Janjua to his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.
Ajit Doval has wrote a Gujarat about the presence of terrorists in the state .National Security Guard teams have been sent to Gujarat to avoid any untoward incidents.
The high alert was sounded in Kutch district that shares both land and sea border with Pakistan after security forces found abondoned fishing boat on Friday . Earlier there have been five incidents of fishing boats being abandoned off the Kutch coast in the last three months.Security arrangements at all important installations across state have been beefed up .
Gujarat additional chief secretary (Home) PK Taneja on Saturday held a meeting with heads of all three wings of the defence, police and IB chiefs as well as head of paramilitary forces.
Gujarata DGP PC Thakur said “We are on high alert and prepared to deal any situation. We have issued high alert. We have started combing operations across various locations. We have also sensitised places that see high rate of footfall.”
Intelligence agencies believed that terrorists have entered in an attempt to create disturbance on or around Shivratri .
According to reports, the boat was spotted around 8.30 pm. The fishing equipment, ration, jugs and fuel was found on the abondoned boat suggested the Terrorists from Pakistan might have fled seeing the patrolling team in the vicinity.,
Western Army Commander Lieutenant General KJ Singh told reporters that there are inputs that terrorists may try to create disturbance during Shivratri celebrations.
“There are security-related problems today. You know, Maha Shivratri is coming. There are inputs which are disturbing but notwithstanding that extra care has been taken,” Lt Gen Singh said but refused to elaborate on the details.
