NEW DELHI, Oct 3 : Four terrorists of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad have entered Delhi and are planning to strike during the festival season, inputs received by security agencies reveal.
Security has been beefed up across the national capital after police received intelligence input of a possible terror strike.
Raids are being conducted by the Special Cell of Delhi Police at several locations across the city after the intelligence inputs suggested that three to four members of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad may have infiltrated into the city.
The alert led to searches across Delhi, especially in the more crowded neighbourhoods of Delhi.
Security agencies said there is possibility of attacks in retaliation against the government’s decision to end special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and split it into two union territories.
