All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owasi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fielding Sadhvi Pragya, who is accused in Malegaon blasts case, as Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal.
Addressing a rally in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra on Wednesday said, “PM of India you are the king of liars, you don’t want to fight terrorism. If you wanted to fight terrorism, if you had class and sincerity then you would not have made a person with terrorism charges a candidate.”
Owaisi, the Hyderabad parliamentarian, on Thursday questioned BJP’s “zero tolerance” policy against terror and said, “A terror accused has been rehabilitated by BJP. The brazenness of must be astounding to outsiders; but we are discussing it like it is routine political strategy This is the BJP’s “zero tolerance” policy against terrorism.”
AIMIM took to Twitter and wrote, “Their BJP manifesto says zero tolerance on terrorism, but they [BJP] go ahead and nominate a terror accused [Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur]. What will they [BJP] say to those injured and murdered in Malegaon [blast case]?
Sadhvi Pragya will take on Congress stalwart Digvijaya Singh in Bhopal. “I welcome Sadhvi Pragya to Bhopal. I hope you will like the peaceful, educated and decent environment in this city. I pray to mother Narmada for her and pray that we all can be on the path of truth, non-violence and religion,” Digvijaya tweeted.
