The hills of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday saw cloudy skies but temperatures remained below frosty in many areas of the state in spite of prevailing dry conditions.
“There are chances of snow and rain in the state till Saturday,” an official of the Met Office said.
Keylong, district headquarters town of Lahaul-Spiti, was the coldest in the state at a minimum temperature of minus 7.2 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus one degree, while the minimum temperature was one degree in Manali, 6.8 degrees in Dharamsala and 1.2 degrees in Dalhousie.
Five degrees was the minimum temperature in the state capital Shimla.
