Telangana MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy passes away at 80

June 9, Friday : Congress Leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Telangana, Palvai Govardhan Reddy passed away on Friday following a heart attack in Kullu. He was 80.

Reddy along with a parliamentary committee comprising 25 members was  arrived in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh on Friday morning,  after complaining of uneasiness he was rushed to the hospital said Kullu Deputy Commissioner Yunus Khan.

Reddy was prominent leader of the Indian National Congress Party, he was also a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Chemical and Fertilizer.

As per the reports, he  was undergoing through a cardiac treatment in Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Hamid Ansari condoled the sudden demise of senior Congress leader.

PM Modi took twitter to express his grief, he tweeted “Saddened by the demise of Rajya Sabha MP Shri Palvai Govardhan Reddy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and supporters,”

“His departure is a personal loss. Reddy was an active and respected member of Rajya Sabha since 2012, and his presence would be missed by all who worked with him. He will be remembered for his relentless efforts towards the welfare of farmers in Telangana,” Ansari said in a message.
