NEW DELHI, 16 Nov: The Union Minister Sushma Swaraj who is admitted at AIIMS on November 7, is taking treatment for a kidney-related ailment and is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days.
However, her condition is said to be stable. “Her history of chronic diabetes has affected her kidney functioning. She is on dialysis,” sources at AIIMS said.
The external affair minister was hospitalised in AIIMS on November 7 and is being monitored by a team of doctors.
64-year-old BJP leader is admitted at the cardio-neuro centre under the supervision of Balram Airan, Chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre.
She has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years.
Earlier in April also she was admitted to AIIMS when she underwent treatment for pneumonia and other health issues.
