Washington, June 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the surgical strikes said it showcased that India can defend its sovereignty and and ensure its security whenever needed.
“When India talked of terrorism 20 years back, many in the world said it was a law and order problem and didn’t understand it. Now terrorists have explained terrorism to them so we don’t have to,” Modi said while addressing a community reception at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
He added, Not a single nation has questioned India’s surgical strike against the terrorist launchpads in Pakistan (last year). Those who suffered (Pakistan) because of this, is a different thing.
Modi also met CEO’s of Top companies, said India attracted the largest amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) due his government policies.
“If America becomes stronger, India will be a natural beneficiary,” PM said.
Today , PM Modi will meet the US president Donald Trump.
After concluding successful Visit to Portugal of a three-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday arrived in the United States.
Modi received warmed welcome at Joint Base Andrews, Washington DC by Indian ambassador Navtej Sarna, his wife Avina Sarna and other dignitaries.
