The former Union Minister further added, “But the journey of freedom has just begun. Many more battles to be fought “.
His remarks came soon after the top court decriminalised homosexuality by striking down the Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The historic judgement came on a clutch of petitions filed by prominent personalities including chef Ritu Dalmia, dancer Navtej Singh Johar, and journalist Sunil Mehra, all representing the LGBTIQ community.
