Sunny Thursday morning in Delhi

New Delhi, June 15: It was a sunny Thursday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius — one notch above the season’s average, the Met Office said.

“The sky is likely to get partly cloudy with possibility of development of thunder and lightning during the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.

However, respite is around the corner as the city is likely to go through a wet spell next week starting from Sunday, the IMD official said.

Rains are likely during the next week from June 19 to 22. There is also a possibility of slight rain on June 18 (Sunday),” the official said.

Wednesday’s maximum temperature settled at 41.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, a notch above season’s average.
