Ilyasi was found guilty by the court for murdering his wife Anju Ilyasi in the year 2000.
Anju Ilyasi died on January 11, 2000, after she was rushed in a serious condition to the hospital.
Initially, the incident was considered as suicide but major twist took place when Ilyasi’s sister-in-law and mother-in-law alleged that he used to torture his wife for dowry.
Later, Anju’s mother sought that Suhaib Ilyasi should be tried for murder.
However, the trial court rejected this demand but the Delhi High Court ordered the Karkardooma court in 2014 to try him for murder as well.
Ilyasi gained fame from India’s Most Wanted in 2000.
