Sitting on a hunger strike for the last four days, seven students of the University of Hyderabad, police forcibly admitted to hospital on saturday.

Student’s condition was steadily getting worse , the protesters wanted to withdraw the police intervention, whereas they were not ready to move out,leading to mild tension on the campus.

Protesters sitting on hunger strike demanding that the Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, VC Appa Rao, and others allegedly responsible for the suicide of Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula.

The Joint Committee of Social Justice has said that the three students is critical, so they have been admitted to a multispeciality hospital, while the four others sent to a health center, where they were forced fed.

The JAC condemned the forceful eviction of the students. It said the “administration is scared of the fight against their Brahminical fascist ideology”.

The umbrella group of various student organisations said it would continue the protest till justice is done to Rohith’s family.
