Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said that Kripa Shankar Pandey, the jail superintendent of Kishanganj, who is accused of allegedly molesting a young girl, had been “suspended with immediate effect and all necessary action will be taken against him”.
In Kishanganj an incident of molestation took place when a jail official Kripa Shankar allegedly molested a girl. The incident came in light when the video showing whole incident gone viral and the local administration had ordered for a probe into the case.
A woman police officer, Kamini Bala, who interrogated the accused said that, “the jail superintendent has admitted that he was in the video but the girl was like his daughter and that there was nothing wrong in hugging her”.
However, she said, “Prima facie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prima_facie, the act of the jail superintendent in the video seems inappropriate and against our culture.”
In the video purported to have been shot on Monday, showing Pandey hugging and touching a young girl inappropriately in the courtyard of his official residence. The victim is the step-daughter of a provision store owner.
Earlier, in a similar incident in July 2015, Pandey was seen in a video forcing a woman inmate to have sex with him had gone viral.
The video was reportedly shot by some prisoners who had also alleged that Mr. Pandey used to indulge in even unnatural sex with jail inmates. Pandey, though, had denied the charges at that time and no action was taken against him.
But the recent video which is taking rounds everywhere, clearly described the attitude of accused jail superintendent towards women.
