Stones pelted on school bus in J&K; student injured

Srinagar, May 2: A student of a private school was injured on Wednesday when a group of miscreants attacked a school bus with stones in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The bus was attacked with stones near Kanipora village.

The police said the student received injuries in his head and shifted to a hospital where doctors referred him to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Father of the minor who got injured in stone pelting said that this is against humanity and this could have been anyone’s child.

Expressing shock and anger over the incident, Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the attack on the school bus.

The police has taken cognisance of the incident and a hunt for the miscreants is underway.
