Clashes break out at Amit Shah’s roadshow in Kolkata

Kolkata, May 14: A massive clashes broke out between in a roadshow of BJP President Amit Shah in Kolkata after sticks were hurled at Shah’s truck on Tuesday.

Following this, Police resorted to lathicharge.

The procession began from the Shahid Minar in central Kolkata to the Dharamtala Crossing, Lenin Sarani and Subodh Mallick Square amid constant shouts of “Jai Shree Ram”.

Shah stood on a truck, accompanied by Kolkata North candidate Rahul Sinha, state party chief Dilip Ghosh and senior party leader Mukul Roy.

Earlier in the day, the BJP had alleged that party posters and flags were removed by Trinamool Congress workers and police ahead of Shah’s roadshow.
