New Delhi, July 13 : Rebel Congress MLA MTB Nagara gave enough hint of reconsidering his resignation as he met Senior Congress leaders including DK Shivakumar, and deputy CM G Parameshwara on Saturday.

” Situation was such that we submitted our resignations but now DK Shivakumar and others came and requested us to withdraw resignations,I will speak to K Sudhakar Rao and then see what is to be done, after all I have spent decades in Congress ,” Nagara said.

DK Shivakumar said, ” We should live together and die together because we have worked for 40 years for the party, there are ups and downs in every family. We should forget everything and move forward. Happy that MTB Nagaraj(rebel MLA) has assured us he will stay with us .”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah of indulging in such “tricks” in Congress ruled states by luring MLAs with money.

To avoid poaching of its MLAs, the Congress sent its MLAs to Taj Vivanta in Yeshwantpur, while JD(S) has kept its MLAs in Prestige Golfshire .

On Friday, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy sounded confident and called for a floor test to prove the government’s majority even though a total of 16 MLAs of the coalition have resigned.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court restrained Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar from taking any decision on the resignation and disqualification of 10 rebel MLAs.
