SP trying to stitch another grand alliance in UP

UP SP chief and senior leader Shivpal yadav’s meeting with Ajit singh on friday had raised eyebrows in BJP again and they are fearing for another probability of a Grand Alliance in UP.

Shivpal had recently met Ajit at his residence in New Delhi and had proposed an alliance to him. Ajit, who had still kept his cards close to his chest over the coalition for the upcoming state polls sounded like a pal in the recent family feud of SP. During his recent visit to Varanasi Ajit had mentioned “netaji will soon settle the dispute easily and Akhilesh has done a lot of good works”. This statement was looked as a new step for upcoming ties between SP and RLD.

Although the meeting between Shivpal and Ajit took place in the backdrop after the fierece family feud, but the RLD chief is now a dignified guest for the SP’s 25th silver jubilee celebrations on November 5. Shivpal was also accompanied by his son Aditya Yadav in this meeting.

Shivpal Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav

RLD’s general secretary Trilok Tyagi had confirmed about this meeting and said that “Shivpal i had a meeting with Chowdhary sahab and invited him to the silver jubilee function on November 5. Chowdhary sahab shares an emotional bind with Netaji(Mulayam Singh Yadav) and he will honour the invite.”

A senior RLD leader told WFN on conditions of anonymity” Shivpal jis had asked and offered a coalition but Chowdhray sahab had not committed any alliance yet, although he looks positive in this scenario.”

RLD had already announced a coalition with Janata Dal (United), Sharad Pawar led NCP and ex-BSP leader RK Chaudhary’s BS4 for the crucial Uttar Pradesh polls. This mega alliance was announced earlier this month, and they had  projected Ajit Singh’s son and former Mathura MP Jayant Chaudhary as its chief ministerial candidate.

Sources close to the first family told WFN that Singh also had a telephonic conversation with SP supremo a week ago. The conversation lasted for about 15 minutes and Mulayam Singh Yadav had assured Ajit about a few particular things.

After RLD there are some more political parties like JDU who might join hands with SP in order to defeat BJP.  SP is also eying to join hands with JDU in order to form a probable grand alliance. although Nitish Kumar is still adamant about his jibe towards liquor ban in UP also. But senior SP leaders are in close contact with JDU leaders in Patna and Mulayam Singh Yadav might use Lalu yadav to settle down Nitish. JDU is also in no mood to lose this opportunity as Nitish wants to expand his party in other states and SP can be a bridge to enter UP. In case Mulayam singh agrees to give some kurmi dominated seats to Nitish Kumar then JDU might get some fruitful results.

The small players-

Dr Ayyub of Peace Party is also on his way to join hands with secular forces in order to challenge BJP. He reportedly had a meeting with senior Congress Leaders in Delhi last week and is also exchanging words with SP and others. In an exclusive conversation with WFN peace Party’s national President Dr Ayub shared some of his plans-“We are talking with anyone and everyone who is against BJP and we might support anyone whom we find good enough. So far we have had discussions with SP, BSP AIMIM INC and some other parties as well and we might come up with a final settlement in next couple of weeks.”

“Our agenda is to keep BJP away from power and we will help anyone who looks fit enough to challenge BJP in all 403 seats” Dr Ayyub added.

Shivpal had already got support from QED led by the Ansari brothers and they will help SP in a good number of seats in UP. In case peace Party also joins hands with SP then it will emerge as a leader in all of eastern UP.

BJP’s bad days ahead- Although BJP had announced tie ups with Soheldev Bharteey samaj Party of Rajbhars and Apana Dal of kurmis, but BJP is still not sure about much support they can fetch by these allies. SBSP is failing to get support of all rajbhars and Apna Dal is busy with infighting within Anupriya and her Mother krishna Patel which had confused the Kurmi voters as well. This emergence of a probable Grand Alliance is seen as a big shocker in BJP and insiders belive that the party might announce some crucial moves post Diwali holidays.
